Udhaynidhi watched '7aum Arivu' thrice, already!

Thoroughly impressed by his production venture '7aum Arivu', directed by AR Murugadoss with Suriya playing the lead role, Udhaynidhi Stalin has watched the movie three times so far, and is expected to watch again before it hits the screens on Diwali.

"This is for the first time Udhay is watching a film produced by him so many times, even before its release. Such was the impact 7aum Arivu has created on him. He was awestruck by Suriya's performance, Murugadoss' execution and many other things," sources say.

All these things have made Udhaynidhi to believe that the film would sure become a blockbuster, they say, and add: "He is also expecting the release of one more film this festival of lights. It is the Vijay-starrer Velayudham, directed by Jayam M Raja."

"Because Vijay is the hero of his maiden production venture Kuruvi and Hansika Motwani, one of the heroines of Velayudham, is the leading lady of Udhaynidhi's debut as hero, Oru Kal Oru Kannadi," sources further say, explaining the reason.

7aum Arivu Chennai screens!

Producer Udayanidhi Stalin has given the list of theatres that will screen the Suriya and Shruti Haasan starrer 7aum Arivu.

The producer has said that he will soon confirm some more theatres.

Surprise elements in '7aum Arivu'

The Diwali fever has set in and four biggies are gearing up to see light of day on the festival of lights, one of the films being Suriya starrer '7aum Arivu'. The film has Suriya, Shruti Haasan in lead roles with music by Harris Jayaraj whilst direction is by AR Murugadoss.

The first look that was unveiled had one of the characters played by Suriya which is that of a monk and his look as an aggressive monk in the posters was an instant hit among critics and fans. The movie starts of with Suriya in this look, and for these twenty minutes a huge sum has been shelved by the makers.

At a press conference that was held recently, Murugadoss expressed that it throws light on Bodhidharman a martial arts expert who is still worshiped in China. Huge sets have been erected to showcase the Shaolin Temple (for the construction of which he strived) and there�s also a Chinese song in this part of film that goes 'Rise Of Damo...' with lyrics by Madhan Karky.

Suriya's second look is that of a circus artist and is set in contemporary period, where he woos a young scientist, Shruti Haasan who plays Subha Srinivasan in the film. This avatar of Suriya is introduced to us through the song 'Oh Ringa Ringa...' that has been canned at live locations in busy streets of Chennai with over a 1000 dancers! A series of events lead to the duo unraveling past mysteries and taking a journey backwards in time, say sources in the know.

However one of the surprises in the film will be Suriya's look as an emperor where he shares screen space with Abhinaya of 'Nadodigal' fame. It is in this part of the film where Suriya uses a black stallion extensively, which was also auctioned away recently for a good price. The cast and crew are tight-lipped about this character played by Suriya.

'7aum Arivu's rights were sold for a whooping price in Kerala recently and expectations are raving high on this film, especially after the trailer screening during the audio launch. Suriya's '7aum Arivu', a stunner in Kerala

It is a known something that Suriya enjoys good fan following in Kerala. What with the whooping collections by his films like 'Khaakha Khaakha', 'Varanam Ayiram', 'Ghajini' and 'Singam' in Kerala.

It maybe mentioned that some critics and trade analysts have also compared his BO collections in Kerala to that of Kamal Haasan and Superstar Rajinikanth.

Joining this league will be his forthcoming film '7aum Arivu', a Diwali release that has been sold to 2.4 crore INR in Kerala! This is the highest price tag a Suriya starrer has come with.

The film will see a release in there in more than 100 centres through Divya Pictures. The film directed by AR Murugadoss has Suriya and Shruti Haasan in the lead and is a sci-fi thriller and will also throw light upon Tamil tradition.

'7aum Arivu' ingredients

Director AR Murugadoss is proud of his forthcoming film '7aum Arivu', which he says is a mix of history, research and medicine. "I feel proud to make such a film. And am sure the audience too would feel so after watching it," says the 'Dheena' and 'Ghajini' director.

"Tamils were smarter those days and they were capable of doing things which were dismissed as impossible by others. For example, Bodhi Dharma, a martial arts exponent from Kanchipuram, is still worshipped in China," Murugadoss says.

Confirming that the film would feature Suriya in multiple roles, the director says the actor's dedication and hard work in '7aum Arivu' would fetch him rich praises. "He is a director's actor. He would always exceed our expectations. Suriya is superb," Murugadoss says.

Produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin on Red Giant Movies banner, music of the film, composed by Harris Jayaraj, was launched in Chennai a couple of days ago. Initial reports suggest that the songs from '7aum Arivu' shot up the charts.

Fantabulous launch of '7aum Arivu' music disc

The Chennai Trade Centre at Nandambakkam witnessed a galaxy of stars yesterday. The event was the music launch of AR Murugadoss upcoming film '7aum Arivu.' What makes this film even more interesting is that Murugadoss-Suriya-Harris Jayaraj are again teaming up with this project after their previous superbly successful 'Ghajini' that happened six years before.

The people who attended the event never had a moment to relax - thanks to a whole lot of surprises that kept them yearning for more right from the word go! Jai and Anjali took the show forward and their anchoring was much appreciated, again a novel move by director Murugadoss. The event witnessed performances from Abinaya who will also have a good share of screen space with Suriya in '7aum Arivu.' Anjali, Rukmini and Lakshmi Rai too added more glitz to the already rocking show.

The hero of the day undoubtedly was Harris Jayaraj. Singer Karthik belted out a song from the album. A portion of a couple of songs were shown, but the best came in the form o the sneak teasers which left the crowd wondering about this character Damo and his role in '7aum Arivu', which forms the introduction of the film.

Since Suriya also plays a circus acrobat in the film the music launch event also showcased some hair-raising acrobatic stunts from experts, who were flown down from overseas. Director KS Ravi Kumar, Dhanush, Karthi Sivakumar, and Arun Vijay were among the guests who were present. Just before the music album was unveiled the audience was drenched in a marvelous laser show, which became a showstopper during the event.

The first music disc was unveiled by guests, director KS Ravikumar, Dhanush and Harris Jayaraj along with the entire team of '7aum Arivu.'

The music album has six numbers which have been set to tunes by Harris Jayaraj. The lyrics have been penned by Na Muthukumar, P Vijay, Madhan Karky and Kabilan. The music which hit the stands yesterday has already become a craze among youngsters and film buffs. Now everyone is waiting for the film release but they will have a long wait till Diwali!

Is it Suriya and Vetri Maaran?

Vetri Maaran is all set to begin his next film which will be produced by Dayanidhi Alagiri’s Cloud Nine Movies. Though there is still no official announcement about the film’s star cast, title, crew etc., an interesting buzz is doing rounds.

Yes, grapevine has it that Vetri Maaran is eyeing Suriya to play the lead role and since the star is busy with Matraan, getting his attention at the moment is proving to be a little difficult.

However, Vetri Maaran is confident that he can rope in Suriya for the project because it is a very interesting and exciting subject.

The happenings at the 7aum Arivu audio launch

The 7aum Arivu audio launch, which took place at the Chennai Trade Centre, was a very grand affair! The entire event was presented so well by the Engeyum Eppothum lead pair Jai and Anjali. It has to be mentioned here that the audiences were awed by Suriya’s dance with choreographer Shobi.

Dhanush released the trailer of the film and what was screened at this event was simply breathtaking. The trailer has upped the curiosity levels and those who watched it simply could not wait for Diwali as that is when the film will be released.

The audio of the film was launched by all the celebrities present at the venue soon after the laser show.

The song Mun Andhi rendered by Karthik and picturised in Thailand was the highlight of the show. Suriya and Shruti Haasan simply dazzled on the screen.
