Suriya in small screen from February 27!

A phenomenon that rocked Indian audiences, 'Kaun Bange Crorepathi' is all set to capture Tamil audiences for Suriya Sivakumar's game show, 'Neengalum Vellalam Oru Kodi' will go on air come February 27.

This will be aired from Monday to Thursday at 8 pm. This would be the Suriya's debut on television and the channel plans to leave no stone unturned announcing the launch of the show on Vijay TV. This successful game show promises a whopping amount of Rs one crore to be won.

The call for entry mechanism to participate in the show was announced during the fag end of 2011. Since then thousands of viewers and fans of Suriya gave raving response to the show. Auditions were held at Coimbatore, Trichy and Chennai and apt contestants who answered simple questions in the preliminary tests were chosen to participate in the show.

Suriya says, "From the moment I walked into the sets of "Who wants to be a millionaire" I knew that this was more than a mere game show. We have done our best and now we wait, like we do for any other big movie release, hoping the audience loves the show as much as we joyfully lived every minute of it".

Venkat Prabhu, Suriya, Yuvanshankar Raja team up


Its official now! Director Venkat Prabhu’s will team up with Suriya for an action thriller. Reportedly Suriya is impressed with a one-liner narrated by Venkat Prabhu and the actor has given his green signal for the project. Studio Green, owned by Suriya’s cousin K.E. Gnanavel Raja, will produce this flick which will be made simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu

Meanwhile there are also reports that the director may shoot this project in 3D. Tollywood star Ravi Teja will also play a prominent role and there are also reports that Suriya will be seen as a cop in this film. Yuvanshankar Raja is likely to be the music director.

Suriya 3D film heroin Latest updates!!


Suriya ‘s 3D film which will direct by Venkat Prabhu is keen to have Sonam Kapoor in the female lead.
Venkat Prabhu, after Ajith’s Mankatha was success signed his next film with Suriya in the lead. An insider says, “Director is eager to rope in Sonam Kapoor for the female lead, as she suits the role better.” He further added, “Prabhu likes, her girl to next door looks and her action as well, any ways he has to discuss about it with Suriya.”
K.E.Gnanavelraja is producing Suriya and Venkat Prabhu’s 3D flick under his Studio Green banner and music is composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. The shooting will commence once completed Suriya in K.V.Anand’s Maatraan.

Suriya's character with dual shades in 'Maatraan'!

Grapevine is abuzz that Suriya Sivakumar will be seen in a character with dual shades in forthcoming biggie, 'Maatraan'. He is said to have a character with two contrast shades, a do-gooder and another one with out and out grey shades. Kajal Aggarwal will be seen wooing the do-gooder Suriya in the film.

To bring out this role as a convincing one for audience, special effects and graphics have been used and the climax will be the highlight of the film, reveal sources close to the 'Maatraan' unit.

The team has now left to the US to shoot some of these special effects scenes at the Stan Winston Studio where Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Enthiran's special effects were done as well.

Every little detail about the film has been making headlines and 'Maatraan', Suriya's biggest release in his career so far is slated to release this summer.

Suriya’s tattoos


The Chennai schedule of Matraan was wrapped up recently and the team is getting ready for the next schedule. It is said that director KV Anand is planning a schedule in Hyderabad and sets are being erected at the Ramoji Film City for the purpose.

Matraan stars Suriya and Kajal Agarwal in the lead. Sources add that Suriya will sport different tattoos on his body as his role requires them. The release date of Matraan will be announced only after this schedule is completed, say sources close to the film unit.
